Hours of service are based on community needs and are subject to funds available to provide adequate staffing. Any change in regular hours of service is subject to approval by the Board.

General Operating Hours are:

Monday - Thursday	9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Friday	9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Saturday	9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Sunday	1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Main Library only

The Director is responsible for determining emergency closings. The library is closed on:

• New Year`s Day
• Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
• Easter Sunday
• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving Day
• Christmas Eve
• Christmas Day

When New Year`s Day, Independence Day or Christmas Day falls on Sunday, the library is closed on Sunday and Monday. The Library closes at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving Eve. The library closes at 6 p.m. on New Year’s Eve unless it falls on a Saturday or Sunday, in which case the library is open normal operating hours.

The Main Library is closed on Sundays for the period beginning with the Sunday before Memorial Day and ending with the Sunday preceding Labor Day.

The library will close to the public for in-service staff development one full day and one half day each year.
