The library`s Local History Collection is located in the Moreland Room on the first floor of the Main Library. Material in this collection is primarily concerned with the twentieth-century history of Shaker Heights and the development of the community.

The Moreland Room Local History Collection contains:

•  Books, photographs, videos, and other sources of information on the history, institutions, and personalities of Shaker Heights;

•  The Shaker Authors Collection--works by current and former residents of Shaker Heights;

•  The archives of the Shaker Heights League of Women Voters and Shaker Life Magazine;

•  Blueprints of many Shaker Heights homes, on microfilm (please read the Blueprints FAQ page for more information on accessing this material, and its limitations);

•  Shaker Heights High School Yearbooks from 1922;

•  and much more.
