How can I use to the Tech Studio and The Workshop?

The Tech Studio and The Workshop equipment may be reserved in advance with a library card or customers may walk-in and reserve the equipment on a first-come-first-served basis.

Before using the Tech Studio or The Workshop, a brief orientation is required that will acquaint individuals with the procedures, equipment, and software.

Do I need a library card or ID to use the Creation Spaces?

Everyone is welcome to use the equipment in the Creation Spaces.

Customers wishing to use the Recording Studio must present a library card. A library card is not required for use of other equipment in our Creation Spaces.

Do I have to pay to use the Creation Spaces?

There is no charge to use the equipment. Customers are responsible for the costs of consumable materials. Limited materials and supplies are available at the Circulation Desk for a small fee.

Is a reservation required?

Reservations are not required. Customers may walk in and reserve equipment on a first-come first-served basis.

Customers with a library card may make a reservation in advance by calling the library at 216-991-2030.

How do I make a reservation?

Reservations are available for up to 3 hours and may be scheduled up to 14 days in advance. Saving and cleanup are to be completed during the allotted reservation time.

Appointments can be scheduled in person or by phone.

How far in advance can I schedule an reservation?

How old do I need to be to use the Creation Spaces?

Individuals ages 13 and older may schedule time with the equipment in the Tech Studio or The Workshop.

Individuals under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult and may not be left alone in either Creation Space.

Can I hire someone to create my project?

Use of the equipment is expected to be self-directed. Library staff can recommend resources for learning including instructional videos and online documentation. Check online for a schedule of classes or to schedule a one-on-one learning session with the Technology Experience Specialist.

Do I need to bring my own supplies?

Limited supplies are available at the Circulation Desk for a small fee. We recommend customers bring their own materials to use in the Creation Spaces. See the Acceptable Materials List for more information.
